nara or Ivanti
Cherwell ends on 31 December. Your service desk keeps running.
Ivanti is ending Cherwell Service Management, Ivanti Service Desk and DSM on 31 Dec 2026. nara runs alongside your current service desk within one to two weeks and replaces it in about six weeks, with ticket history, knowledge articles and assets. From day one, the AI resolves requests itself, in Teams chat, by phone and right on the laptop.
The difference in brief
Ivanti is ending several products on 31 Dec 2026, including Cherwell Service Management, Cherwell Asset Management, Ivanti Service Desk (Powered by LANDESK) and Desktop & Server Management (DSM). [1] For Cherwell and DSM, Ivanti offers a move to its Neurons platform. [4][10] Neurons for ITSM runs in the cloud or on-premises. According to Ivanti, its AI features require a SaaS deployment, and Agentic AI is a separate add-on license. [5][6]
nara is an AI-native ITSM with every module in one price. The AI takes the request, checks the device, fixes the problem and records every step in the ticket. You set it up in your own words, without consultants. nara runs alongside Cherwell or Ivanti Service Desk within one to two weeks and replaces it in about six weeks, with your ticket history. Start now and you'll be on nara before support ends.

Where nara leads
Switched before support ends, with your history.
For the first one to two weeks, nara works alongside Cherwell or Ivanti Service Desk, resolves tickets and documents every case in your current system. Then we move your ticket history, knowledge articles and assets; after about six weeks, the switch is complete. For Cherwell Asset Management, Ivanti states that the cloud tenant becomes unreachable 30 days after end of life and the data is then deleted. [3]
Set up in your own words, without a consulting project.
You describe categories, forms, SLAs, approvals and permissions the way you would explain them to a colleague. nara builds it, tests it and only goes live after your approval. Your team learns it in days. Ivanti promotes no-code drag-and-drop configuration for Neurons for ITSM. [5]
The AI resolves requests itself, right down to the laptop.
An employee reports in Teams chat that their VPN won't connect. nara checks the laptop through nara Edge, resets the VPN client, tests the connection and closes the ticket with its findings. You decide which steps need approval. For large enterprises, nara can run entirely in your own data center, AI included. With Ivanti, according to its documentation, Agentic AI is a separate add-on license that runs only as SaaS, from version 2026.1. [6] Ivanti says its other AI features also require a SaaS deployment. [5]
Employees ask wherever they are.
In Teams chat, by Teams call, on a normal phone number, in web chat or in the nara app. On the phone, nara recognizes the caller and handles the request during the call, for example by unlocking an account or resetting a password. Anyone who prefers a person presses 0. With the Teams app for Neurons for ITSM, employees chat with analysts, create incidents and requests and check their status. [9]
Replace DSM as well.
nara includes client management: distribute software and patches to every device, install Windows and keep the inventory, through nara Edge on Windows, macOS and Linux. Ticket system and client management become one product.
Your Cherwell tickets show what nara takes on.
With read access to your history in Cherwell or Ivanti Service Desk, we show within one to two weeks which requests nara handles from day one and how much time your team gets back.

Costs
Ivanti does not publish prices for Neurons for ITSM; the product page refers you to sales. [5] Agentic AI is a separate add-on license and runs only as SaaS. [6] In a public tender, the move from Cherwell to Neurons for ITSM was awarded as a separate services contract covering delivery, data migration, customization and training. [8]
nara: ITSM at €2.50 per employee per month (€1.75 from the 1,001st employee) with every module and unlimited IT agents, plus a nara plan from €1,500 per month, plus migration at a fixed price per quote. All prices exclude VAT. As long as your old ITSM contract runs, you pay nothing for the ITSM, for up to 12 months.
