nara or Microsoft 365 Copilot
Copilot helps employees with their work. nara resolves their IT requests.
With the Employee Self-Service agent, Microsoft brings answers from your documents and ServiceNow tickets into Microsoft 365 Copilot. nara is the service desk itself: a complete ITSM and an AI that resolves requests in Teams, by phone and right on the laptop. Within one to two weeks, nara is working in your Teams, alongside Microsoft 365 Copilot.
The difference in brief
Microsoft 365 Copilot is the AI assistant for Outlook, Word, Teams and the other Microsoft 365 apps, at €26 per user per month, billed annually, plus VAT. [1] Microsoft now calls the product “Microsoft Copilot”; on the pricing page, the license is still called Microsoft 365 Copilot. [1][2] For IT support, Microsoft provides the Employee Self-Service agent: it answers questions from SharePoint and ServiceNow and, in Microsoft's words, acts as a front end for ServiceNow. [3][4]
nara is an AI-native ITSM with every module in one price. The AI takes requests in Teams, by phone and in the portal and resolves them itself: it unlocks the account, grants the permission, repairs the update on the laptop and closes the ticket. nara runs alongside your ticket system within one to two weeks and, if you want, replaces it in about six weeks.

Answers from your knowledge
Creating and tracking tickets
The agent creates tickets in ServiceNow, adds to them and reports their status. [4] nara manages tickets in its own ITSM or in your existing system, such as ServiceNow, Matrix42, Jira or Freshservice. Your IT team works right on the ticket with the same assistant that resolves employee requests.
HR, IT and new workflows
Microsoft provides templates for HR and IT with connections to Workday, SAP SuccessFactors and ServiceNow; you extend the agent in Copilot Studio with your own topics and connections. [3][5] nara automates workflows across HR, procurement and IT, such as onboarding from the signed contract to the ready laptop. You describe new workflows in your own words; nara builds them, tests them in a simulated run and only goes live after your approval.
Where nara leads
Resolved through to closure, by phone too.
An employee is locked out and calls in Teams or on a normal phone number. nara recognizes the caller, unlocks the account, resets the password during the call and closes the ticket. Anyone who prefers a person presses 0. Microsoft's agent creates and updates incidents in ServiceNow; they are then worked on in ServiceNow. [4] For a phone hotline, you build your own voice agent in Copilot Studio. [11]
Fixing the laptop is part of it.
An employee reports in Teams that their laptop no longer installs updates. nara checks disk space and the update service through nara Edge, clears the update cache, restarts the installation and records the result in the ticket. Copilot in Intune is aimed at administrators in the Intune admin center. [8] The Security Copilot agent for vulnerabilities is a preview and provides instructions that administrators carry out. [9]
Any ticket system, including systems in your own data center.
nara works as your ITSM or alongside ServiceNow, Matrix42, Jira and Freshservice. nara reaches an ERP or line-of-business application in your own data center through nara Edge, with no open ports. Microsoft's agent comes with a ticket connection for ServiceNow; you connect other systems yourself in Copilot Studio. [3][4] According to Microsoft, the earlier version's connectors can't use on-premises gateways, with no plans to add this. [6]
Your data stays in the EU.
nara is developed and hosted in Germany. AI processing takes place exclusively in the EU, and we don't use your data for training. Microsoft 365 Copilot processes requests from the EU within the EU Data Boundary. [2] With flex routing, the AI may also run in the US, Canada or Australia at peak load, on by default for eligible tenants created after 25 Mar 2026, and can be switched off. [10]
What it costs
Microsoft 365 Copilot costs €26 per user per month, billed annually, plus VAT, and requires a qualifying Microsoft 365 plan. [1] The Employee Self-Service agent is included under fair use. Without a license, a query costs 15 US cents on average in Microsoft's sample calculation. Licenses for ServiceNow, Workday or SAP SuccessFactors come on top. [5][11]
nara: ITSM at €2.50 per employee per month (€1.75 from the 1,001st) with every module and unlimited IT agents, plus a nara plan from €1,500 per month and migration at a fixed price per quote. All prices exclude VAT. The AI agent is available to every employee. As long as your old ITSM contract runs, for up to 12 months, you pay nothing for the ITSM.
